A February Gallup survey of 23,717 U.S. workers finds AI use at work ticking up but skepticism still entrenched. Roughly three in 10 employees use AI frequently and two in 10 use it occasionally, while about half rarely or never do. Four in 10 say their employer has adopted AI, and about two-thirds of those report productivity gains—especially managers, health care and tech workers—while service workers see fewer benefits. Nonusers most often prefer current methods, cite ethical or privacy concerns, or doubt AI’s usefulness; some tried tools and found little value. Job-loss worries are rising: 18% say technology could eliminate their role within five years, up from 15% in 2025, and the concern is higher (23%) at AI-adopting firms. Margin of error is ±0.9 percentage points.
