Google detailed a sweeping set of AI upgrades rolled out in September across core products, signaling a deeper push to embed its Gemini models into everyday consumer experiences. Chrome now offers AI-assisted browsing and scam protection, while Search’s AI Mode adds visual and real-time multimodal capabilities and expands to more languages. The Gemini app introduced image generation via “Nano Banana,” live conversational features, shareable custom Gems and a no-code tool. Google DeepMind unveiled Gemini Robotics 1.5, aiming to translate reasoning into physical actions, and Google enhanced learning tools with NotebookLM and LearnLM-powered Guided Learning. The company also highlighted a U.S. education initiative, including access to Gemini for high schools, as Gemini notched competition wins underscoring advances in coding and reasoning.
