Google is taking its travel ambitions up a notch, rolling out its AI-driven Flight Deals feature to more than 200 countries and territories and adding trip-planning tools to Search. The company’s Canvas capability in AI Mode now assembles itineraries using real-time data from Flights, Hotels and Maps, while agent-style booking help for restaurants and events is expanding to all U.S. users. Support for 60-plus languages aims to widen reach as Google positions Search as a one-stop gateway from discovery to booking. The push intensifies competition with online travel agencies and metasearch players by keeping travelers inside Google’s ecosystem as the company signals plans to enable flight and hotel checkout directly in AI Mode.
