Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its global network of data centers to meet surging demand for artificial intelligence and cloud services. Following the launch of a new cluster in Mexico, AWS is currently constructing additional centers in Chile, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan. The company is also looking to increase its supply of advanced Nvidia GB200 chips to power AI workloads. With strong growth in generative AI and foundational workloads, AWS continues heavy investments, including a recent $11 billion commitment in Georgia, USA, to bolster infrastructure. The global server market is projected to reach $1.3 trillion by 2028, powered by leading players like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and major data center operators. The push for AI-ready data centers reflects the challenges traditional infrastructure faces in supporting the computing and energy needs of advanced AI applications, as seen in other major projects backed by companies like OpenAI and Nvidia.
