Amazon’s One Medical has introduced an AI-driven health assistant that offers round-the-clock guidance, interprets lab results, books appointments, and helps manage prescriptions, all within the One Medical app. The tool draws on members’ medical histories and operates under HIPAA-compliant safeguards, with built-in protocols to route patients to clinicians for urgent or sensitive issues. Amazon says conversations aren’t automatically added to medical records and data isn’t sold. Powered by Amazon Bedrock, the assistant follows a beta period begun in early 2025 and is now available to all One Medical members; Prime subscribers can add One Medical membership for $9 a month or $99 a year.
