American Public Weighs In: Over 10,000 Responses Shape White House AI Action Plan

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) has released over 10,000 public comments received in response to a request for input on the development of the federal AI Action Plan. The initiative, prompted by President Trump’s executive order to remove barriers to American AI leadership, gathered feedback from a broad spectrum of the public—including academia, industry, and government—over seven weeks, covering concerns such as chip manufacturing, supply chain, AI model building, workforce development, and scientific research.
