Reuters reports that DOGE has promoted the use of a customized Grok to analyze federal data—even recommending it for use in the Department of Homeland Security before formal approval. Experts warn this could breach security, privacy, and conflict-of-interest laws, giving Musk’s businesses an unfair advantage and risking leaks of personal data. The situation is further complicated by allegations of DOGE monitoring political loyalty among government employees, amplifying ethical and legal concerns. Both the White House and Musk’s companies declined to comment on the matter.
