American workers are folding AI into their routines at a rapid clip, with 12% using it daily and roughly a quarter tapping it at least a few times a week, according to Gallup’s fall survey of 22,368 employees. Adoption is deepest in tech—where six in 10 report frequent use—and strong in finance and education, though Gallup hints at a post-2025 plateau in tech after a sharp run-up. While many workers say AI boosts efficiency for tasks like synthesizing documents and drafting communications, researchers warn about 6.1 million clerical and administrative workers—disproportionately older women in smaller cities—face higher exposure with fewer buffers. Even so, most employees don’t fear imminent replacement: about half say job loss from AI or automation in the next five years is “not at all likely,” down from roughly six in 10 in 2023. The survey was conducted Oct. 30–Nov. 13, 2025, with a margin of error of ±1 percentage point.
