The year’s standout was generative AI’s ascent: OpenAI’s ChatGPT broke into the top 40 sites and led AI services, even as challengers such as Anthropic’s Claude, Perplexity and Google’s Gemini gained ground. E-commerce rankings underscored Asia’s growing clout, with Shopee and Temu taking Nos. 2 and 3 behind Amazon. Cloudflare’s list draws on aggregated DNS data across its network; OpenAI says ChatGPT reached 700 million active users in September.
