Meta Platforms has acquired Limitless, an AI hardware startup formerly known as Rewind, as it accelerates its push into AI-enabled wearables. Limitless will stop selling its $99 conversation-recording pendant, end subscriptions and wind down its desktop “Rewind” app, while supporting existing customers for a year and offering data export or deletion. The team will join Meta’s Reality Labs wearables group; financial terms weren’t disclosed. Founded by Dan Siroker and Brett Bejcek, Limitless raised more than $33 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, First Round Capital and NEA, and cited intensifying competition from tech giants pursuing AI devices.
