NVIDIA and Corning said they struck a multiyear commercial and technology partnership to bolster U.S. production of optical components critical to AI data centers. Corning plans to increase domestic optical connectivity capacity tenfold and expand fiber output by more than 50%, adding three advanced plants in North Carolina and Texas and more than 3,000 high-paying jobs. The ramp aims to serve soaring demand for high-speed links that connect thousands of NVIDIA GPUs in hyperscale “AI factories.” Financial terms weren’t disclosed. The companies framed the deal as part of a broader U.S. manufacturing resurgence, while cautioning that execution remains subject to market conditions and other risks outlined in their forward-looking statements.
