Nvidia Corp. said it is reviewing options for new product offerings in China, following a Reuters report that the chip giant is developing a more advanced AI chip—tentatively named the B30A—featuring its Blackwell architecture and aimed at the Chinese market. This move comes shortly after Nvidia struck a deal with the U.S. government to resume chip sales to China in exchange for a 15% sales cut, reflecting the ongoing regulatory tug-of-war over technology and national security. President Trump has hinted at potentially loosening restrictions to permit sales of “somewhat enhanced” processors, as Nvidia looks to maintain market presence despite shifting U.S. policy. The company emphasized that all offerings comply with government approvals, while shares edged lower on the news.
