OpenAI said it is developing an AI-first jobs marketplace that could encroach on Microsoft-owned LinkedIn’s core turf, expanding the company’s push into enterprise and consumer applications. The platform, slated for launch by mid-2026, aims to match candidates to employers using its models. OpenAI also plans to issue skills credentials through a new certification track in its OpenAI Academy and to let companies fold those badges into internal training; Walmart is an early partner, and the company targets certifying 10 million Americans by 2030.
