Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a global AI powerhouse took a major leap forward with its AI venture Humain, which landed a deal to purchase 18,000 state-of-the-art GB300 Blackwell chips from Nvidia. This partnership, announced at the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum, marks a pivotal step in the country’s Vision 2030 initiative to diversify its economy through technology. Backed by substantial investments from the Saudi Public Investment Fund and further collaborations with U.S. tech giants like AMD, Amazon, and Cisco, the deal aims to establish a 500-megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia. The new AI infrastructure will focus on developing region-specific AI models and support technologies such as smart cities and autonomous logistics, putting Saudi Arabia ahead of other nations in the global race for AI dominance.
