Nvidia Corp. (NVDA) introduced Halos for Robotics, a full-stack safety platform designed to standardize and accelerate deployment of “physical AI” systems in factories, warehouses and logistics facilities. The system extends Nvidia’s autonomous-vehicle safety work to robotics, combining IGX Thor compute and Holoscan Sensor Bridge with a new Halos OS and an ANAB-accredited AI Systems Inspection Lab aimed at expediting certification by bodies including TÜV Rheinland and UL Solutions. Humanoid-robot maker Agility will integrate IGX Thor and Halos Core into its Digit robots already targeted at customers such as Amazon, GXO, Schaeffler and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. Nvidia said the unified architecture connects compute, sensors and safety applications to help developers validate and deploy robots that operate alongside people. Early access is available for IGX on Linux and QNX, with elements of the Outside-In Safety Blueprint open-sourced on GitHub.
