A month after President Trump directed federal agencies to replace “artificial intelligence” with “super intelligence,” Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg adopted the White House’s preferred terminology on their quarterly calls, aligning their rhetoric with the administration. Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet largely stuck with “AI” in their investor remarks, even as Microsoft’s annual report nodded to a “Super Intelligence era.” IBM and Intel peppered “SI” into commentary, and Nvidia’s Jensen Huang publicly praised a White House “accord” on the topic. The branding push arrives days before midterm elections, as the administration seeks to project a pro-innovation stance with limited regulation. For investors, the language may be cosmetic: spending plans, product road maps and infrastructure demand around AI remain central, whatever it’s called.
