Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has implemented AI-powered software on its MRI machines, significantly reducing the time required for scans. The Air Recon Deep Learning (ARDL) technology has improved patient experience by decreasing scan times by 10–15 minutes and enabling the hospitals to scan more patients daily. The new system, in place at several Hull hospitals and soon expanding to others, also benefits patients with claustrophobia or learning disabilities and has reduced the need for anaesthetics in children.
