At the World Economic Forum in Davos, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon warned that rapid adoption of artificial intelligence could outpace society’s ability to adapt, risking civil unrest unless governments and companies coordinate wage support, retraining and phased rollouts. Dimon said JPMorgan may employ fewer workers within five years as it deploys AI and highlighted trucking as a sector vulnerable to automation. He also offered muted criticism of President Trump’s posture toward Europe and immigration enforcement. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang countered that AI is fueling a once-in-a-generation infrastructure boom—spanning chips, data centers and skilled trades—that is creating, not eliminating, jobs, and called AI robotics a major opening for Europe’s industrial base.
